We all love music. It’s everywhere from the radio to the internet. Most of us enjoy it through mp3 players, music through our phone, and even from our laptops. We mostly use earphones, earbuds, and headphones to enjoy music without annoying anyone in the room who are listening to their own kind of music.

Find the best listening devices such as headphones from headphonesunder100center.

We use these listening gears almost every day, from earphones to headphones. And as we use these little listening devices every day,  are we aware what it does to our ears? Is it harmful? Is it bad? In this post, let me talk about ear health so that we can enjoy the kind of music without worries.

Ear Health

Our ears are one the most sensitive part of body that needs proper care. If not careful, it may cause hearing problems. Particularly with kids who are fond of discovering new things and applying various things on their body. Parents must be always on the watch to avoid accidents. Now, how should we take good care of our ears without hurting them and what should we remember to avoid hearing problems?

Here are some ways on how to do it:

  • Be sure to make use of earplugs when hearing loud sounds coming from machines or any other objects as it can affect our eardrum. Particularly when you are fond of going to noisy places, make sure you always have them in your bag so you can use them and be able to hear the person near you without the need of shouting at each other.
  • When listening to music using your earphones, headphones or on speakers make sure to turn the volume down.
  • Like our eyes, our ears as well need time to relax or recover after being exposed to loud noise or being in a noisy place. Stay in a place where you can observe silence and relax yourself.
  • Avoid using ear swabs for it is not advisable in removing extra wax in your ears. Try to make use of slightly wet towel or ear wax removal solution for a safer way of cleansing your ears.
  • Do not make it a habit to apply any type of ointment or medicines in your ears without consulting your physician.
  • Make sure to always keep your ears dry especially when swimming as it may cause ear infections.
  • Regular exercise is also good for the ears.
  • Avoid having too much stress and pressure because it may cause temporary or permanent tinnitus.
  • Have regular ear check up

If these are not done, you have a big chance of having:

  • Otitis media
  • Tinnitus
  • Swimmer’s ear
  • Earwax
  • Autoimmune inner ear disease
  • Cholesteatoma
  • Perforated eardrum
